This blog is about my remodel projects and life on the East Side of (you know where if you know me!).   I live here with my husband Tom and cat (shhhh! she has no idea she’s a cat) Sophie. We all enjoyed living in downtown Chicago so there may be flashbacks of that bit of my life as well, along with various musings and observations on daily life.

10+ years  in international software consulting living, working, and always adapting to new teams, projects, languages, cultures and deliverables.  Several years ago, I left my corporate role and became a 24/7 caregiver to an aging mom while supporting my husband’s career moves and progression.  That time, energy and focus opened up a whole new world of learning, people, projects, disciplines, skills…it validated my belief that every person on a team matters and that my planning and analytical skills together with an intense interest in learning and applying new skills could grow, extend and reconfigure as my life evolves.

I am a creative problem solver and hands-on multitasker at heart!  I enjoy bringing people together to create great things, with a passion for modern architecture and a love of finding joy and peace in the spaces I create.  I also continue to enjoy technology, organic gardening, vegan/vegetarian cooking, running, my neighborhood  and community volunteer work.
