This week saw Wayne & Dallas bring detail and custom work to our kitchen. Wayne brings such a level of confidence and ability to the work at hand. So often we start with a question, then a brainstorm, then options, then…the magic. Wayne worked on the light rails, trim and many custom details while Dallas completed the baseboard work, began laying out the mechanical venting for our pop-up exhaust, and assisted his dad.
Dallas and I went over to Sweet Lumber, where I’ve purchased all our sepele mahogany for past projects. We wanted to bring home a mahogany storm door that Jon Sullivan showed me a couple of days ago. I’ve been on the hunt for a storm door that will not detract from the beauty of my poppy door- I thought this might be it. Dallas brought it home so we could see the match. It was beautiful but we are still exploring options.
Nate was back to put a second coat on the ceilings and do some priming work. Northern Lights came back to start wrapping up the electrical. They will also be back on Tuesday to finish the install of our new intercom system.
Busy week at the nest.
