So now that the bamboo pallets have all been unloaded, I began the process of matching the drawer fronts, doors and custom pieces to the IKEA backend carcasses. This went pretty well though I’ve asked John to elaborate and detail the wall with my refrigerator- several custom pieces here. It was a really mind bending exercise that felt kind-of like the old game of Battleships- L1, hit- G3 miss, L5 HIT- you sunk my cabinet! All the cabinet pieces are laid out in my living room in the order they will be laid out in my kitchen. Luckily I have enough floor space to do that or I honestly think I would be sunk!
I look forward to wrapping up this process so we can start putting each cabinet together. Brief update, John sent the map on Monday to help decipher all this…happy as a clam!
